Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and raised in Osage county, Ceciala Poolaw is an enrolled member in the Osage Nation (Grayhorse district) and also part of the Pawnee, Kiowa, and Euchee tribes. She is currently a student at the University of Arkansas- Fort Smith and about to obtain a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art with a minor in Philosophy, in December 2018. Her journey of practicing art just began in the fall of 2015, but for the past few years she has gained knowledge in drawing, painting, print making, and sculpture. She utilizes these learned traits to visually express social issues in indigenous peoples culture.
